Eastern Mongolia is the vast steppe, it has the sites of historical significance, where Chinggis Khan’s birth was given and coronation was held. The east is the core habitat of Mongolian gazelles. The small lakes such as Buir Nuur Lake, and Khukh Nuur and several small have the abundance of birds such as ubiquitous Demoiselle Crane and the Steppe Eagle.

The vast Mongolian steppes of Dornod are the habitat for a million gazelles and few other mammals. The area is home to many species of birds. This is definitely an interesting region for tourism.
